The AKASHA Experience

Main Stage

Our main dance floor from Saturday arvo through till Sunday late arvo will host fat beats from our local and international guests. It will be our pleasure to provide you with some of the leading artists available, who certainly have what it takes make you dance. There are beautiful shady areas, surrounded by trees with awesome décor to pleasure the eyes, all in a comfortable atmosphere. Dance on lovely soft grass with a short walk to the river to cool down, OH YEAH, a river! With fresh water straight from the mountains.

Market Stage

This stage will run for the main duration of the party, with live acts, ambient beats, chilled out tunes and bit of that funky stuff to make you feel good. Our live acts and dj's will do their finest to entertain your senses; there will be a good variety of music to hear. Offering a luscious space with another grassy dance floor to stomp your feet on or just kick back and enjoy the ride.

Village

Come and check out our mini village in the bush, the central point for Akaska Festival. This is the place to grab a feed, quench that thirst or just relax in the shade in a social environment. The Akasha market is covered by trees and will be nice and cool on those hot summer days. We will be designing the market to function as environmentally friendly as possible, so recycling services and re-usable items will be optimised. Please assist us by understanding what we wish to achieve.

Performances

There will be lots of acts to enjoy at this event with roving performers, dancers, fire twirlers and other crazy stuff to question the mind. Come and check them out or get involved yourself!

Visual displays

Please the eyes with our magical art displays and be a part of a visual indulgence with spectacular lighting, trippy projection screens, outdoor cinema, sculptures and more...

Camping Area

The camping ground will open Friday morning and go through till Monday afternoon. Bring your couches, mattresses and all that comfy stuff to make your feel at home, as there is plenty of room for good camp set-ups. Drinking water, cleaning facilities and toilets will be there for your convenience. Akasha Festival will be using compost toilets, that won't smell bad, won't block up and will be recycled into worm feed.

Healing Space

If you need a massage, yoga, reiki, want get some energy flowing or just feel the need to have a chat. This space will be set up to make you feel as comfortable as possible, so if you need somewhere to get away and rejuvenate, don't hesitate and come and visit the healing space.

First Aid

There will be St John ambulance on site from Friday day till Monday afternoon for your safety.

Security

Security will be present for your safety, they are efficient but friendly.

Safety and Advice

Regulations to ensure we have a happy and safe festival!

  1. Please do not wander from the site. NEIGHBOURING PROPERTIES ARE STRICTLY OUT OF BOUNDS! Snakes live in these areas and are most likely hiding away from the site on neighbouring properties. If you see a snake, be still and let it continue on its journey. It won’t harm you if you don’t harm it. Respect our beautiful wildlife. Anyone found not assisting the beautiful energy will be asked to leave.
  2. Akasha Festival is a TOTAL FIRE BAN so please respect this. Similar to last year there will be no open flames, no BBQs, no candles, strictly no fires what-so-ever. Patrons were excellent last year in respecting these conditions.
  3. Wrist bands must be worn at all times. Anyone not wearing a wrist band will be asked to leave by security.
  4. Please leave pets at home! This is obviously for your sake and theirs. There are many local animal shelters that mind pets while people go away in Sale, we will ask you to take your pets there for the weekend. This is a condition of our permit to protect local wildlife. We are also not interested dogs being left tied up at camp sites or fighting with other dogs. Cheers for your assistance with this request.
  5. Motorbikes are strictly banned at our event, this means NO MOTORBIKES! Push bikes are encouraged as this is a great way to get around the site.
  6. Patrons will not be permitted to enter the property before Friday 9am. Do not try to enter the site earlier as you will be refused entry. Anyone not abiding this will stick out like a sore thumb!
  7. Recycling facilities are provided at our environmental festival. Please recycle where possible. Do the right thing with rubbish. If you see any escaped rubbish put it in a bin! Bins will be plentiful and closely located to all camping and facility areas.
  8. Camping rules at the event must be obeyed. Please camp in the camping areas provided. Keep roads clear. Parking attendants are there to assist.
  9. No illegal substances or anti-social behaviour. With the support of Vivaids we are promoting a drug free event. No excessive alcohol and please minimise glass at the event.
  10. No unauthorised generators or sound systems. Akasha festival takes no responsibility for cut leads or the old sugar in the generator. Renegade sound systems are banned at this event. We have 2 great dance floors, let’s keep the energy centralised.
